CoolDock is designed to be a useful second Dock for your Mac, while respecting your privacy.

We believe your personal data should stay yours. CoolDock is built to keep your widgets, settings, and local app data on your device whenever possible.

Information We Collect

CoolDock does not collect, store, sell, or share your personal data.

Most CoolDock features work locally on your Mac. This may include widgets for apps, folders, calendar events, reminders, weather, system stats, recent files, screenshots, clipboard items, audio controls, and other local utilities.

CoolDock may access certain data on your Mac only when you give permission through macOS, such as Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Photos, Files, Microphone, or other system permissions. This data is used only to power the features you enable inside the app.

We do not upload this data to our servers.

Local Data

CoolDock may store your preferences, widget layout, pinned apps, folders, settings, and other configuration data locally on your Mac.

This data stays on your device and is used only to make the app work the way you configured it.

Third-Party Services

Some widgets may connect to third-party services if you choose to enable them. For example, widgets for analytics, revenue, social accounts, weather, or other online services may require connecting to external providers.

When you connect a third-party service, CoolDock may use the access you provide to display relevant information inside your widgets. The data is used only for the feature you enabled.

Those third-party services have their own privacy policies, terms, and data practices. We recommend reviewing them before connecting your account.

Analytics

CoolDock does not track how you use your widgets or collect personal usage data inside the app.

If the CoolDock website uses basic privacy-friendly analytics, it may collect anonymous information such as page views, browser type, device type, and referrer. This information helps us understand how the website is used and improve it.

No personal widget data from the CoolDock app is included in website analytics.

Payments

If you purchase CoolDock, payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider.

We do not store your full payment card details. The payment provider may collect billing information necessary to complete the purchase, manage licenses, process refunds, and handle taxes.

Permissions

CoolDock may ask for macOS permissions depending on the widgets and features you enable.

For example:

Calendar access is used to show your events and meetings.
Reminders access is used to show your todos and reminders.
Contacts access is used for quick contact widgets.
Photos access is used to show recent photos if enabled.
File access is used to open pinned folders, recent files, downloads, or screenshots.
Microphone access may be used for microphone controls or voice-related features.

You can manage or revoke these permissions anytime in macOS System Settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data.
We do not share your personal data with advertisers.
We do not use your local Mac data for advertising.
We do not train AI models on your data.

Data Retention

Local CoolDock data remains on your Mac until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall CoolDock.

If you connect a third-party service, any data stored by that service is controlled by that provider and subject to their privacy policy.

Children’s Privacy

CoolDock is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
